It’s been 16 months since us sisters got our creative heads together and launched Sandy Digs, a celebration of our treasured Australian outdoors and coastal living. We often get asked about our name, but you may have guessed it already: ‘Digs’ being slang for both clothing and homes made ‘Sandy Digs’ the perfect fit for our coastal, sandy life.
We began our journey with our South-Coast inspired collection back in 2021 with 10 great designs released across mens, ladies, and kids including tees, singlets/tanks and caps.We invested the time to source quality apparel which we proudly design and have printed in Australia.
2022 saw the release of 2 more contemporary, coastal designsavailable across more colours, styles and sizes. This year has already seen the addition of our long-sleeve tees and hoodies and we’re excited to announce beanies and more caps will beavailable soon too!
As some of you may know, we started sales from a space at The Mill, Pyree and then changed our focus to outdoor markets allowing us to get to know our customers and whatyou like. We have really enjoyed this aspect of our small business and are very grateful for all the positive feedback, chats and support. It is what has inspired us to keep going and further build our label and community. We have had gigs at Kiama Seaside Markets, Huskisson and Milton Village Showground Markets and have done special event markets at The Mill Pyree, Burradise Festival and Moona Moona Creek for Australia Day. We are getting use to the early starts and smashing out our set-up and pack down too!
